All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth...

We are currently in the midst of the next round of teething.  His top teeth have been looking pretty close for a while and one of them finally broke through Christmas day. He may not have gotten two teeth, but he got a lot of fun new things.

Here he is with his new book...

His cousin Maddie let him play with her in her new tent...
He got a new shirt to match Daddy's...
And he got his own set of wheels...

Joshua will be sad to see the Christmas tree go, he loves the tree.

Overall, we had a very fun Christmas.  I hope you all had a great time too.

Safety First!

And this is why you should always secure the safety straps in your child's seat.

He sure is one determined little guy!

Sleep?!? ...

It's so hard to make Joshua take a nap when he's such a pleasant kiddo, but he gets cranky in the evening if he doesn't have a nap.  So we bundled up and went for a walk, which usually works like a charm.  But apparently the novelty of walking in the rain was a little too exciting...

So we kept walking and 15 minutes later...

Unfortunately 15 minutes later he was awake again, but hey, at least he got a little nap in...

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch…

Today we had the ward party, “How the Grinch Stole the 7th Ward Christmas.”  They adapted the book to fit our ward.  Here are some pictures of Joshua with some of the star players.

Play Time

I gave Joshua this stack of rings today to see how many he could get off on his own.  He got most of them off, and then I noticed that they were all still in order on the floor.  This must mean he's going to be a very organized little boy!
(He's getting so good at sitting up on his own!)

Happy Half Birthday!

Can you believe he's already six months old?  Time sure flies when you're having fun.
Look how happy he is!  And this is after he got all his shots today.

Learning new things…

Joshua is growing up so fast.  Here are some things he has learned how to do.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle…

Yesterday our little Joshua did some new things.  We were at a birthday party and he kicked the bottom of my plate sending the piece of cake flying, while leaving the plate in my hand.  He is quick!  He also made his first phone call. I momentarily left the phone within reach and the next thing I knew his dad’s phone was ringing.

Then last night, we gave him a bath before bed and he discovered if he turned his head to the side he could use his tongue to lap up a little water.  Silly Boy!

Hats

Doesn’t Joshua look cute wearing hats?
HPIM1234IMG_4200Photo11091915
Recently I’ve been making hats.  They are simple and most of them I’ve just made from scraps I already had.  I’m so worried about Joshua’s head getting cold that I just keep making more hats.  Here is what I have so far…

Then I made him this one…

I had some cute girly fabric so I made this one for Joshua’s friend.

Feet!

Have you ever really thought about how fascinating feet are?  They hang out down there on the bottom of your legs and never really get much thought but think about all they do… They bend, they wiggle, they take you where you want to go…

I love watching Joshua explore his feet.  They seem to be his favorite toy right now.

Building Fun.

Tonight Andrew and I got to party with our fun nieces.  We started off building tunnels and houses...

Then we found letters for our names...

We reenacted the story of the 3 little pigs. Here is the straw house  and stick house that blew down

But Madison made a house of bricks where all the little pigs could be safe.

Madison was happy to be building, Joshua was happy as long as he had something to chew on and Brooklyn was happy as long as Joshua was nearby.  She was so good at sharing, she kept bringing Joshua things to chew on.
