Cousin Sleepover!

Last night we brought Maddie home with us from Grandma Jo’s house.  The kids were super excited to have someone stay over.  We did some FaceTime with Heidi and Paul.

This morning the kids played a game Joshua called “Walmart.”  I call it, “Take everything that’s not bolted down and dump it in Joshua’s room.”

Someone did not want her picture taken.

At least they were willing to help clean it all up.

And Maddie let me do her hair, which is something Olivia is very opposed to these days.

Can You Believe We’ve Been In Our New House for a Year?!?

I’ve been meaning to blog for ages, but I never take any pictures and so I never blog.  Today I made sure to take some pictures so I’d have something to show you.

We’ve gotten so much done in the last year, including a sprinkler system, sod, fence, sandbox, trees, rock retaining wall, and planting flowers.  Inside, we’ve added a storage room in the basement (Thanks Ken!), and done a ton of decorating and other finishing touches.

I don’t know what’s in the air, but the kids have been extra ornery and whiny the last few days.  I have found the best remedy is going on an adventure.  Yesterday we found a pile of dirt to climb.  They were in paradise!

Today we went for a walk to the park.  We didn’t take a stroller we just slowly made our way there.  We stopped often to watch things happening in the neighborhood.

Oh, and there’s not a road to the park yet, so we had to trample through a field part of the way.

There is this terrifying slide at the park that goes straight down.  I was so proud that Joshua wanted to go on it, he is my cautious one.  It spit him right out at the end, but he kept doing it.  Olivia went down it on her stomach, head first!  I almost had a panic attack the first time, but she must have had fun because she did it over and over again.

Its amazing how nice it feels to get outside in the fresh air.  I love Spring!
