Baby and Me Storytime

I just found out that they have baby storytime at the library every Wednesday and took Joshua today.  It was so much fun, we're going to have to make it part of our regular weekly schedule.  They had a lot of singing, and hand actions, followed by playing with noise making toys.  Joshua had a blast. (and I had fun too)

I Like to Read!

Today I was cooking in the kitchen with Joshua rolling around in the next room.  I peeked in to see how he was doing and this is what I saw…

He was reading a book! 

I thought it was the cutest thing ever.  He is working so hard to grow up.  He has started to pull himself up on things.

And moving around the house like crazy!

I sure love this little guy!

An Unexpected Find…

The last few days of warmer weather and rain have melted away all of our snow.  And underneath it all was a persistent little flower.  I don’t know how it survived this long, but it’s a nice little reminder that spring will come soon.

New Suit

Joshua has this adorable suit that his uncle Robbie gave him.

Unfortunately, the shirt no longer fits.  I searched everywhere to find a new shirt, and finally decided I was going to have to make one.

It turned out pretty good, and Joshua looks so handsome in it (of course, he always looks handsome!)

Yellow

I’ve been wondering if Joshua has a favorite color.  He tends to gravitate toward the yellow stacking cups, or the yellow lid…  Check out the toys he pulled out of his toy basket…

Rolling

Joshua started rolling a long time ago, he rolled over the first time when he was only a week old.  In the beginning it was more like the weight of his head tipping him over than a conscious effort to roll.  But, he has gotten really good at rolling from his stomach to his back. He hadn't ever rolled back to his stomach until 3 days ago... now he is a traveling little roller.  He doesn't roll in a straight line though, more of a circular spin.  Tonight I was trying to encourage him to roll so I could get some pictures.

The whole time I sat trying to get a picture, he refused to roll, but then I ran to the other room to get something... this is where he was when I came back.

Silly kid.

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve at the Cleggs.  Joshua isn't crawling, or rolling back to front yet, but he somehow manages to wiggle and squirm and move around.  He started off in the center of this blanket while we were playing a game and managed to end up here.

 

We went to Logan on New Year's Day to spend time with the Robisons.  Joshua had a blast playing with his cousin Katie.

And who knew a kid could be entertained by a simple helium balloon for much of the day?

2010 was such a fun year for us, I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store.

Just like his Mommy…

It seems like every time I sit down with Andrew in the evening to watch a movie or something I fall asleep and miss the ending.  The other night Joshua was sitting with us on the couch and dozed off next to his Daddy.
