Most of the time when Joshua has wandered off and the house gets quiet I find him doing something like this…

Family Pumpkin Painting!
Yesterday I bought some pumpkins from a little girl in the neighborhood selling them out of her garden. Her younger brother had a fit that we were stealing his pumpkins, but we were able to bring a few home. We decided to paint them so they’ll last longer. Joshua was in heaven, he probably would have kept painting for hours if we’d have let him.
He had to have a brush in each hand to keep his hands out of the paint.
And here are our masterpieces sitting on the front steps to welcome visitors!
(Now I’ve just got to wash a little paint out of his clothes.)

My Latest Projects: Painting, Sewing, Gardening…
Yesterday I finished up two projects I’ve been working on for Joshua, a painting for his room and a new winter hat. Now I know I’m no blossoming artist, I just wanted a colorful ABC picture in his room and I didn’t want to pay to $30+ they cost at the store. I think it turned out okay.
I absolutely loved his monkey hat from last year, so I had to think of something fun enough to compete with it. (He’s not sure how it feels about it yet)
We were just starting to get some good produce from the garden when the cold weather his, I’m hoping everything else didn’t freeze and we’ll still get some more. Here is what I picked in one day: tomatoes, potatoes, nectarines and squash, Yumm!
Here are just a few more pictures of our adventures:
